A fairly strong upper level disturbance across the northern Rockies will allow low pressure to form to the east of the Rockies from eastern Wyoming to eastern Colorado. An increased pressure gradient this afternoon will allow southerly winds to develop and become somewhat strong in the 20 to 30 mph range with higher gusts. Highs are expected to top out in the mid 80s across southwest Kansas.
