Climate Science and Education

Climate is defined as the long term weather pattern of an area, including temperature, precipitation, and wind. More simply, climate is the typical behavior of weather. It has a large impact on many people, including what we wear and eat, and where we live and travel. It also has a big influence on our surroundings, including what animals and plants survive, and what types of agricultural resources abound.

There is a wide spectrum of educational resources and activities that can help students of all ages learn more about climate. For links to learning opportunities geared more toward children, visit our kid's corner.

There is also a wide variety of information relating to various climate phenomena, including El Niño/La Niña, Drought, Climate Change, and Global Warming.
