Description:

The Government has a commodities requirement for Chemical Hoses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 326220 with a size standard of 500 employees; the SIC code is 4720. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. This solicitation is set aside for 100% small business. The incorporated provisions and clauses are current to Fac 2005-26, Effective 12 Jun 2008. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, parts, shipping, and all other items necessary to provide the following items:



2” X 40’ Chemcoil Hose QTY 5 (Or Equal)

2” X 100’ Chemcoil Hose QTY 14 (Or Equal)

2” X 10’ Suction Hose QTY 12 (Or Equal)

The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition and will remain in full force in any resultant award: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors—Commercial Items. It is amended to read: Offeror shall submit signed and dated offer to include technical specification and/or literature sufficient to support an “or equal” determination. It is the responsibility of each offeror to provide data supporting their proposed product(s) as an equal product to those listed in this combined synopsis/solicitation. When combined, price and technical acceptability are approximately equal.

Hoses need to be angus chemicoil hoses. That is true lay flat jp-8

compatible fuel hose with the braided rayon reinforced and full coverage

clack neoprene synthetic rubber cover. There should be (5) 40 ft.

lengths, (14) 100 ft lengths. There should also be (12) 10 ft. lengths

of fuel suction hard hose, compatible with jp-8.



All lengths to have unisex dry break couplings that are bonded (for

static electricity), and hydrostatically tested (for pressure). They

should pass a test of 100 PSI operating pressure, 300 PSI burst

pressure, and be able to withstand 800 lbs of pull pressure. The

coupling should be carter Aeroquip 64020E, or compatible, to join with

our current equipment. Coupling should have dust locking dust covers.

Hoses are 2" diameter.







The "Y" adapters and Over wing refueling nozzles should be compatible

with above hoses, and have dust covers. Preferred equipment would be the

carter Aeroquip "Y" adapter 64029D. Nozzle would be OPW small nozzle

containing in line strainer, 25 PSI regulated pressure, w/ automatic

shutoff feature, mated to carter Aeroquip 640208 unisex coupling w/ dust

cap and grounding plug.
