The World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) is dedicated to promoting the human and social rights of people who are deaf. WFD advocates for their full participation in society by equalizing opportunities, strengthening the status of sign language, advancing educational opportunities for people who are deaf and promoting their access to information, and stimulating the efforts of national associations of the deaf to improve the overall situation of deaf communities in every country.
