Office of Biostatistics Research

Office of Biostatistics Research participates in the planning, design, implementation, monitoring and analyses of studies funded by NHLBI.

In addition, the Office of Biostatistics Research

  1. provides statistical consultation and collaboration on experimental design and data analysis procedures to the Institute's program areas;

  2. develops new statistical methods for use in design and analysis of clinical trials and other medical studies; and,

  3. initiates research in theoretical biostatistics in areas related to the NHLBI mission, such as survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, efficient study designs and statistical genetics.
