USSAAC (United States Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is dedicated to providing information and support on the issues, technology, tools and advancements within the world of AAC.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) provides different communication methods for individuals who have significant speech impairments. USSAAC's primary mission is to support individuals who use nonverbal communication: hence we are here to serve everyone within the AAC community, from AAC users to therapists to families to educators to researchers and everyone in between Individuals with significant speech impairments live in a complex world. If you don’t think so, try going a day without verbalizing your thoughts, feelings, and needs. Yet, it is like any other world, shaped by strong leaders, seasoned professionals, dedicated volunteers, and inquisitive newcomers. We aim to be the town square for our community—a place where people embrace, learn about and contribute to the world of AAC.
