Earlier this year it was determined the Auxiliary "Risk Management" course did not meet the requirements of Team Coordination Training (TCT) for those Auxiliary members required to receive the training. In June of 2003, as coordinated between the Director of Health and Safety (G-WK), Auxiliary National Commodore and Chief, Director of Auxiliary (G-PCX) , reference (C) was published granting a one-year blanket waiver (in lieu of individual waivers granted by Directors of Auxiliary) for all Auxiliary members for TCT requirements. The message stated that Auxiliary members must receive and meet the requirements IAW with COMDTINST 1541.1 and ALCOAST 547/01 no later than 31 May 2004.

This email serves as a reminder as of 01 June 2004, Auxiliary members who have not received the appropriate TCT will not receive operational orders until the TCT requirement is completed. Please review the above references with your Auxiliary membership and district TCT administrators to ensure completion of the requirements prior to the deadline.

NOTE: Auxiliary qualified coxswains and boat crew must be documented for having completed an eight-hour exportable TCT course, (or 16-hour unit-level course or resident TCT course) prior to 01 June 04. Once completed, currency requires TCT refresher via the annual Operational Workshop and must complete the eight-hour exportable, the 16-hour unit level or a resident TCT course every five years.
