There is a lot going on in the area of health and literacy. In
addition to exploring a literacy screen, you may want to examine all
the written materials your health center provides to ensure that they
are readable. Working with literacy learners to create readable
materials can be very rewarding.
All these topics are taken up at length in the health forum
electronic discussion list, but if you're not, you should check it
out. It's also sponsored by the National Institute for Literacy. You
