I am an internist recently moved to Lubbock, Texas and will be joining the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in General Medicine shortly. Over the past 15 years I have focused on indigent health care in both the Emergency Department and Dept of Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical School, where I directed the ambulatory medicine portion of our resident training program and international medicine experiences for our medical students.// I would be interested in any recommendations re a brief literacy screening tool that could be used in the waiting room or office setting.
