Two things seem to really pay-off - [1] taking learners to the program so they can see where they will have to go, what the teacher looks like and [2] inviting the teacher(s) from the program the learners will be transitioning to to come and speak to the learners - talking about responsibilites and outlining a "typical" day - but not making it sound like a barrier. There were other things but these 2 were acknowledged at the top things to do.
