    Young People Working Together Can Change World

    From using the Internet to organize anti-terrorism protests, to giving blood, to serving as volunteers in political campaigns, inner-city schools, community centers and soup kitchens, young people in the United States are working with their peers around the world to create positive change.

    American Girls and Women Go for Sports

    Between 1971 and 2005, female participation in collegiate sports increased 456 percent. In the same period, female participation in high school sports increased more than 900 percent to about 3,000,000.

    Recently, millions of students celebrated diversity and tolerance by eating lunch at a table where they don’t usually sit, in order to meet (“mix it up” with) a different group of students. Mix It Up at Lunch Day is part of a program to explore and bridge differences among kids.
