The National Indian Gaming Commission has drafted proposed revisions to existing sections of the Minimum Internal Control Standards (Part 542), and has drafted proposed Class II Minimum Internal Control Standards (Part 543), for Pull Tabs, Cage, Accounting, and Internal Audit.  These documents were presented to the MICS Advisory Committee during meetings held July 29-31, 2008.  The documents do not include amendments that reflect discussion that took place  at the meetings.  Once the committee completes its review of each of the proposed sections, a recap of committee comments will be added.   In the proposed revisions to Part 542, strike through items are proposed removals, and underlined items are proposed additions.  The proposed Part 543 sections are presented without edit indicators, but were adapted to Class II from the proposed revisions to Part 542.  Comments can be directed to the NIGC at info@nigc.gov.
