This is a sources sought synopsis conducted to identify potential sources capable of providing an airworthy DeHavilland DHC-7 four-engine turboprop aircraft to be delivered to a location within the continental United States. The aircraft must have 60,000 cycles or less on the airframe. This sources sought synopsis is published for market research purposes only. There is no solicitation available. Pending results of the market research, a firm fixed price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, is contemplated. All responses to this notice shall be submitted via email to bob.colgan@us.army.mil or by mail to USAAMCOM, Fixed Wing Product Office, ATTN: SFAE-AV-AS-FW/Bob Colgan, Building 5309, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898. Electronic responses are preferred. Brochures and other hard copy material are acceptable. Please provide company name, point of contact name and contact information (email and phone) and a description of the available aircraft. Your responses are required by 1400 Central Time on 5 Sep 2008. This is not a request for proposals. Nothing in this notice shall be construed as a commitment or obligation by the Government to conduct further actions as a result of this notification.
