Joseph T. Reilly,
Associate Administrator

Joseph T. Reilly serves as the Associate Administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS).

Prior to his tenure at NASS, Reilly was employed with the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of the Census for more than 21 years. While there, Reilly received the department's highest award in 1997 for his outstanding management of the Census of Agriculture program.

Later that year, Reilly joined NASS following the transfer of the Census of Agriculture responsibilities from the Census Bureau to NASS. Before serving in his current position, Reilly was the Deputy Administrator for Field Operations and was responsible for the operation of the 46 NASS field offices, which cover all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Reilly grew up on a small farm near Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. He is a 1975 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with degrees in Statistics and Marketing.

He resides with his wife, Deborah, in Lothian, Maryland.
