THANKS FOR A GREAT SEASON
Most farmers' markets around the state are now closed for the season. To find out the closing date for your local market, check our market list. The following markets will be open for Winter:
  • Santa Fe
  • Corrales
  • Los Ranchos
  • Las Cruces
  • Los Alamos

Come visit New Mexico's Farmers' Markets where you will find the freshest fruits and vegetables available anywhere. Most produce sold at markets has been picked within 24 hours of your visit, and has traveled from not more than a few miles away.

Meet the people who grow your food and enjoy the vibrant flavors, aromas and colors of the New Mexico harvest.

When you shop at New Mexico's Farmers' Markets you support:
  • A healthy lifestyle for you and your family
  • A strong rural economy
  • Farmers making productive use of our land and water
  • The preservation of agricultural land and knowledge for future generations
  • The security of our local food source

Each of New Mexico's 50 growers' markets is unique, reflecting the particular character of local cultures, soils and climate.

Most of our markets are open seasonally, from early or late summer through late fall. Five markets--Corrales, Los Ranchos, Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Las Cruces--are now open year-round.

Shopping for local produce, meats and hand-crafted foods brings you directly in touch with the people and land of New Mexico. Agriculture has survived for thousands of years along the Rio Grande and in our parched, arid lands because of the knowledge and traditions passed on through generations.

When you purchase food from the people who grow it, it's easy to ask them questions about their growing methods, food storage or favorite recipes. These artisans of the land are proud of the food they deliver to market, and are enthusiastic to share their love of growing with their customers.

Shopping at your local growers' market also gives you an opportunity to feel part of your community as you visit with friends and neighbors.

Enjoy the taste and quality of the food you purchase, and feel good knowing that you are helping keep area farmers on their land producing food.

Don't just take our word for it: Get out and visit your local market, see what's growing in your area and taste the difference!
