September 15, 2008 - U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services (USCIS) announces publication of a Federal Register Notice that expands the Direct Mail program to include Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.

USCIS' Houston Office Remains Closed Due to Hurricane Ike
Update September 14 - All USCIS Houston, Tex. offices will remain closed Monday September 15 and Tuesday September 16.
September 11 - USCIS' Houston, Tex. office will close for business on Friday, Sept. 12 due to the approach of Hurricane Ike. All three local Application Support Centers have already closed. Interview appointments for naturalization and permanent residency have been automatically rescheduled.
