The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center San Diego, CA hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source requirement to the City of Monterey, CA 93940 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This is a synopsis for commercial services prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. The Information Technology and Communications Services (ITACS) Department at the Naval Postgraduate School has a requirement for a subscription to the City of Monterey I-Net , to provide access to the California Research and Educational Network (CalREN). The City of Monterey is the only known source that can provide both the local and wide area requirements for this connection. Interested person! s may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
