ESO TACCTS FAQ

What is TACCTS?

TACCTS is the CG Institute’s primary customer care tool. It is a software application for handling correspondence and issues between ESOs and the CG Institute. Currently TACCTS can be use for both TA and NRT issues and requests. By generating and receiving electronic TACCTS tickets rather than FAX, phone or email, the CG Institute will be able to track and follow-up on all requests, providing better customer service response.

The “goal” is to provide the ESO community with a tool that incorporates automation, tracking, metrics, formalizes the submission of issues to the Institute and, most importantly, improves our responsiveness to the ESO & the member.

What does TACCTS do?

TACCTS (Tuition Assistance Customer Care Tracking System) for Tuition Assistance

TACCTS handles problems, changes and corrections to TA Applications, Authorizations and Waivers. Both the TA Department and the ESO can initiate an issue ticket. If the ticket is created by the CG Institute, the ESO will receive an email alerting them of an open TACCTS case and the ticket number that has been assigned. The ticket number will be used for all further correspondence between the ESO and the TA technician, and will remain active until the case is satisfactorily resolved.

TACCTS (Training and Correspondence Course Testing System) for Non-Resident Training

TACCTS handles the submission of issues and questions regarding EOCT, waivers, library unit inventories, and many other Non-Resident training issues. Additionally EOCT tests and courses can be ordered. (TACCTS replaces the previous access to the 2100 and 2800 Smart Forms.) ESO designation/relief letters can also be submitted via TACCTS.

Both the TA and NRT TACCTS systems are under development. The CG Institute continues to add new functionality and over time, more of our business will be conducted via the TACCTS system.

How does an ESO get access to TACCTS?

To get access to TACCTS, and ESO must submit a designation letter to the NRT Department. A template for the designation letter is available on this website.

This can be faxed to (405) 954-3684 or emailed as an attachment to CGI-PF-NRT_ESO_Emails@uscg.mil.

As soon as the ESO is setup with TACCTS access, they will receive an email with the website address and a temporary login and password.

Why is it important to have an Alternate ESO for TACCTS?

TACCTS only sends emails to the ESO or Alternate ESO. The member does not receive notification of problems or resolutions. Therefore it is critical that an Alternate ESO be designated to receive TACCTS notifications when the ESO may be TDY or on leave. Otherwise, members will have unnecessary delays in resolving issues.

How can I get help with TACCTS?

Job Aids for both the TA and NRT TACCTS systems are located on the TACCTS website. Click the button in the top right hand corner to view or download the Job Aid for that department. Remember, this system is undergoing constant revision. If you download the Job Aid, you will need to check back for updated versions.
