The Office of Inspector General (OIG) completed an inspection of laptop computer hard drives at a NASA installation. The objective was to determine if laptop computers being loaned out on a short-term basis are adequately cleared of user information upon their return. NASA concurred with the report's three recommendations, which addressed improved management controls and operational effectiveness.
