The Office of Inspector General (OIG) completed an assessment of information technology security (ITS) training and development along with other related human resource issues at NASA Headquarters. The objective was to determine whether policies and procedures are in place and comply with existing laws and regulations. NASA concurred with five of the report's seven recommendations that addressed improvements in security training and awareness and encouraged greater use of current mechanisms to recruit, deploy, and retain information technology professionals. We have asked that NASA management reconsider its nonconcurrence to the two remaining recommendations.
