Awards and Recognition
At NASA, awards and recognition are given . . . for the right contribution . . . to the right people . . . in the right way.

The Office of Human Capital Management in Washington, DC is the key administrator of NASA’s Awards and Recognition program and serves as the primary counselor on the management of the program.  It ensures that nominations for awards meet the requirements of the nomination process and that NASA employees across the Agency are recognized in a meaningful way for the service to their country and the contributions they make towards NASA mission, goals, and values.

The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) is responsible for the day-to-day administration of awards.  All award nominations are to be submitted to the NSSC through the NASA Automated Awards System (NAAS).
