2007-08 Central Illinois Winter in Top 10 Wettest

During this meteorological winter from Dec 1 through Feb 29, Lincoln had the 2nd wettest winter on record with 14.01 inches of precipitation. Bloomington-Normal ranked 2nd with 11.64 inches, Peoria ranked 2nd with 10.56 inches, Springfield ranked 4th with 12.09 inches, and  Champaign-Urbana tied for 3rd with 11.22 inches.  Below is a list showing the top 10 Wettest Winters in Bloomington, Champaign, Lincoln, Peoria and Springfield.  Springfield was 0.10 inches away from 3rd place and 0.53 inches from 2nd place.   In addition, Peoria had its 3rd snowiest winter with 33.7 inches of the white stuff, which was 12.8 inches above normal.  Springfield had its 7th snowiest winter with 31.1 inches, which was 12.2 inches above normal.  Lincoln had 25.8 inches of snow which was 9.7 inches above normal.  Champaign had 25.3 inches of snow which was 5.1 inches above normal and 18th snowiest.  Bloomington had its 4th snowiest winter with 32.6 inches which was 12.4 inches above normal.
