Advancing Organizational Effectiveness Seminar

Course Length: 2-Days
This seminar focuses on the development of strategic and tactical (action) plans that target an organization's core processes and vital few operations. Self assessment instruments are constructed to determine organizational effectiveness and measure employee satisfaction, incorporating SWOT analysis and the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award Criteria. Utilizing the aforementioned tools, experts facilitate an action plan deliverable designed to link directly to the strategic planning process.

A Toolbox for Business Analysis

Course Length: 1.5 -Days
This seminar covers the basics of descriptive statistics, surveying and sampling, randomization, ANOVA, regression analysis, and design of experiment. Appropriate statistical data analysis tools are incorporated into the workshop to deal with business-oriented problems, such as process reviews and audits. The statistical tools are easy to use and deal with real problems that business professional face daily.

Effective Survey Design and Research

Course Length: 2-3 days (length can be customized)
This course provides a step-by-step approach to conducting a survey from the beginning to the end. Its sampling section covers simple random sampling, systematic sampling, proportional stratified sampling, disproportional stratified sampling, optimum allocation, cluster sampling, area sampling, multistage sampling, and random digital dialing. The data collection section of the course includes: questionnaire construction and design; question content, sequence, and format; and special issues in conducting mail surveys. The data analysis phase of the course covers editing, data entry, cleaning the data, providing estimates for missing data, computing response rates, computing weights, constructing scales and indices, and using EXCEL® in analyzing survey data. Examples of survey designs will be taken from market research, political surveys, and attitudinal studies. Applications include customer satisfaction surveys and quality improvement surveys. Participants are encouraged to bring survey instruments they have used, or are using, for review by the class.

Shared Unit Performance System Support (SUPPS)

Course Length: As needed
The SUPPS is a system designed to manage the information found in the diverse formats of the unit performance plans. The system provides a common platform for sharing ideas and allows users to search on words and phrases and generate consolidated reports by strategic goals, performance objectives, and vital few strategies.
