The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) has a service requirement to rent approximately 28,600 contour chairs for the 2009 Presidential Inauguration scheduled for Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the West Front of the United States Capitol, Washington DC. The contractor shall furnish, deliver, set-in place and subsequently remove the chairs at the completion of the ceremonies.



The solicitation was issued on August 5, 2008. The due date for receipt of proposals is on September 4, 2008. These dates are subject to change and offerors are reminded that due dates specified in the RFP080064 document and any amendments to the RFP take precedence over the dates stated in this notice.



The solicitation is available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR ALL CHANGES!! Date and time for a site visit is specified in the RFP.



Requests for drawings must be made to Matt Hazlinsky, Contract Specialist, via email at mhazlins@aoc.gov. All requests shall contain company mailing addresses and name and phone number of a point of contact at the company making the request. Drawings will be mailed to contractors after date of solicitation issuance.
