U.S. Department of the Interior Minerals Management Service Gulf of Mexico OCS Region

The Gulf of Mexico Region of the Minerals Management Service (MMS) is accepting nominations for it's 1997 Conservation Award for Respecting the Environment (CARE Award).  The CARE Award is presented annually to a company involved in offshore oil and gas operations that goes beyond regulatory requirements to protect and enhance the marine and coastal environment of the Gulf of Mexico Region.

Public agencies, environmental groups, private organizations and companies, or individuals aware of exceptional natural resource projects or achievements generated by the action, initiative, innovation or cooperation of a company doing business on the outer continental shelf are encouraged to nominate that company for the MMS CARE Award.
