PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED REGARDING ATTEMPTED ARSON OF NIKE OUTLET STORE

Wright County-On April 2, 2001, employees of the Outlet Mall of Albertville discovered incendiary devices and other evidence of an attempted arson of the Nike Store located at 6415 LaBeaux Avenue NE, Albertville, Minnesota. The Wright County Sheriff's Office (WCSO), Bloomington Police Bomb Squad and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) were subsequently summoned to the scene for processing and follow-up investigation.

On April 4, 2001, the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) claimed responsibility for the attempted arson of the Nike Store.

The investigation continues in an attempt to identify the person(s) responsible for the attempted arson of this business.

Investigators are requesting the assistance of the community with any information concerning the attempted arson of the Nike Store.
