Los Altos Skate Park

 

The largest skate park in the southwest is here in Albuquerque. The park is designed for BMX bikes, skateboards and in-line skates.

Location

The skate park is located at 10140 1/2 Lomas

This is West of Eubank and just east of Easterday. Admission is free.

Facilities

  • 35,000 sq ft of skateable area
  • A street course and two bowls
  • All of the modern structures to grind, scoot and ride are present
  • A public telephone is located at the entrance - 911 calls are free

Safety

Wearing a helmet is mandatory for any person under 18yrs of age, other protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads, wrist & ankle protection) is strongly recommended. The Los Altos Skate Park is a skate at your own risk facility. Know your ability and skate accordingly. Skating on wet surfaces is not allowed. The use of alcohol is strictly prohibited at all times.

Hours

  • Summer Hours (May - Aug)
    8:00am to 11:00pm
  • Winter Hours (Sept - Apr)
    9:00am to 10:00pm
  • The north lights will turn of at closing time.
  • The south lights will turn off five minutes after closing.
  • The parking lot lights will turn off 30 minutes after closing.

Before we could build such a fast park we had to conduct lots of research, here is our feasibility study.
