General Policies

This section outlines general training policies, as well as memos and letters pertaining to the training and development of Career Interns.

Individual Development Plan

This section has information that may be used as a reference in creating a meaningful Individual Development Plan (IDP) that will enable the Career Intern to get the most out of their two years in the Career Intern Program. A realistic, well researched, clearly written IDP is a valuable tool for charting a successful Career Intern experience.

Vendors

This section has information on several well established institutions that offer training courses for Career Interns, including sessions on career development issues seen as fundamental to the growth of Career Interns. Many USDA agencies also offer their own programs and seminars which provide relevant training for Career Interns.
