In BNL’s prime contract with the Department of Energy, we have contractual goals for various types of small businesses throughout every fiscal year in the following small business using categories:

  1. Small Business (SB)
  2. Small Business Administration Certified Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB)
  3. Woman-Owned Business (WOB)
  4. Veteran-Owned Business (VOB)
  5. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB)
  6. Small Business Administration Certified Historically Underutilized Business (HUB)

Because of the efforts made by BNL procurement personnel, we make or surpass our goals every year !

This is because we WANT to do business with small businesses - it makes good business sense.

BNL places more procurement dollars with small business than large.  This translates to money for small businesses and money in our economy.
