About TGAnet

The Treasury General Account Deposit Reporting Network (TGAnet) is a web-based application, developed by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis for the U.S. Treasury, that:

  • automates the over-the-counter (OTC) deposit process,

  • captures detailed accounting information at the point of deposit and

  • facilitates the classification of Treasury collections on a daily basis.

Once Governmentwide Accounting becomes operational at the Financial Management Service, TGAnet will allow federal program agencies to determine their fund balance with Treasury (FBWT) every day

TGAnet also provides financial institutions that service federal program agencies the ability to:

  • confirm deposits electronically,

  • create adjustments electronically and

  • submit confirmed deposits and adjustments automatically into the Treasury’s cash concentration system (CA$HLINK II), without re-keying the deposit data.

TGAnet User Roles and Rules

All users are assigned a permission in the TGAnet application. A permission is comprised of a role and an organization. A user’s role determines what functions the user can perform. The organization determines where in a hierarchy a user can perform those functions.
