Waste-To-Energy Team:

The mission of the Region 6 Waste-To-Energy (WTE) team is to promote the use of renewable energy under the Resource Conservation Challenge in three target areas: Landfills, Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) and Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTWs). Our efforts are to prevent or reduce the emissions of methane, a greenhouse gas, through partnerships with other federal agencies, states, tribes, businesses and communities by fostering the development of economically sustainable energy recovery projects. The WTE team is a multimedia group with expertise in a wide range of WTE topics.
