Important Notice to Federal Firearms Licensees Affected by Hurricane Rita (9/22/05)
ATF will provide Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) in the areas affected by Hurricane Rita with the necessary flexibility to ensure the safety and security of their business inventory and firearms records.
FFLs do not need to contact ATF to move their business records and inventory to a more secure location. We will provide future guidance about necessary procedures for restoring business operations and informing ATF of loss, damage or relocation.
Our desire is to assist those FFLs in the region while protecting the public. We sincerely hope for the safety of all residents in the affected areas.
