BOARD OF LAND & NATURAL RESOURCES CHAIRMAN TO ADDRESS KAUA`I COUNCIL OF ADVISORS

LIHU`E – The Governor’s Kaua`i Council of Advisors will meet on Thursday, Dec. 14, 5:00 p.m. in meeting rooms 2A & 2B of the Moikeha Bldg., 4444 Rice St. 

Peter Young, chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, will update the Council on the Administration’s ongoing efforts to protect and manage environmental and cultural resources on Kaua`i and around the state, including various projects and budget and legislative priorities.

Governor Linda Lingle created councils of advisors to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government.  The Kaua`i Council of Advisors holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, budget priorities, and recommendations for state boards and commissions.
