American Health Information Community: MembersGail Graham, RHIAGail Graham is the Director of Health Data and Informatics for the Veterans Health Administration, the nation's largest integrated health care system. She oversees data management and informatics programs including Health Information Management, Privacy, Security, 508 Compliance, Patient Safety, National Data Systems, Identity Management and Data Quality, Data Services, Standards & Interagency Liaison, and Heath Information Resources. Ms. Graham represents the Department of Veterans Affairs on a number of national and international organizations, including the American Health Information Community (AHIC), Federal Health Architecture (FHA), and the SNOMED Editorial Board. She is on the Board of Directors of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), as well as the Information Technology Board of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Ms. Graham was voted one of the 100 most influential people in health care by Modern Healthcare magazine in 2005 and 2006 in recognition of her central role in expanding the use of information technology in health care. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). |
