Meet the Staff

George Kaya, Maui Liaison

George N. Kaya is the Governor’s Liaison for the island of Maui.  Kaya has 12 years of service with Maui County, where he served as chief of highways, public works director and senior executive assistant under then Maui County Mayor Lingle.  He previously served 16 years with the State Department of Transportation as a civil engineer and state highways maintenance superintendent.

Services the Maui Liaison office offers:

· Issue State Identification Cards
· Issue Marriage Licenses (Please call for appointment)
· Assist with public information

· Represent the Governor’s administration
· Respond to complaints

Office hours:  Monday – Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Office Closed - 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

· Issue State Identification Cards: Monday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Tuesday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
