February 4, Governor Lingle and members of the Legislature will join representatives from Maui Electric Company and Oceanlinx in discussing details of a proposed wave energy project on Maui.

February 6, Governor Lingle will discuss state issues from 7:05 - 8:00 a.m. HST on her monthly radio show.  Listeners are invited to call 808-521-8383 from O‘ahu or 888-565-8383 from the Neighbor Islands with questions and comments.  The show can be heard live statewide on O‘ahu (KHVH 830 AM), Maui/Kona (KAOI 1110 AM), Hilo (KPUA 670 AM), and Kaua‘i (KONG 570 AM).  Recordings of past shows are archived on the Governor’s Web site www.hawaii.gov/gov. 

February 9, Governor Lingle will deliver remarks in observance of National Girls and Women in Sports Day.  The event is organized by Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i; the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Athletics Department; Hawai‘i Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; and the Lē‘ahi Soccer Club.  Clinics will be held throughout the day to encourage girls to participate in sports and to promote lifelong health and fitness habits.
