Governor Visits National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Governor Lingle traveled to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado to participate in a regulatory training workshop arranged by the U.S. Department of Energy as part of the Hawai`i Clean Energy Initiative.

While at NREL, Governor Lingle also joined Colorado Governor Bill Ritter in previewing and test driving some of the latest alternate fuel vehicles that will be demonstrated and tested at NREL in the coming months, including a compressed natural gas and gasoline fueled Ford F250 pickup truck, hydrogen fuel cell powered Ford Focus, and hybrid electric Toyota Highlander.
