Food Stamp Application and Local Office Locators

To apply for the Food Stamp Program, you must fill out an application and return it to a local food stamp office. Each State has a different application.

You can use the “Step 1” food stamp pre-screening tool to find out if you may be eligible for food stamp benefits and how much you could receive. However, the pre-screening tool is not an application for food stamps. An application for food stamps must be made through your local food stamp office.
