Meet the Staff

Laurie Yoshida, Kaua`i Liaison

Prior to taking the position as the Governor’s Kaua`i Liaison, Laurie was president and CEO of Successful Planning, an Event Planning and Project Coordination Company.  Laurie was able to combine her experience in management, marketing, and advertising along with her hands-on experience in event planning.  Laurie is also the former president of the Kaua`i Chamber of Commerce and the former marketing director of the Hawai`i Osteoporosis Center.  Laurie was also an account executive for Oceanic Cablevision where she sold cable advertising, and was also a pharmaceutical sales representative.  Laurie holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Hawai`i.  Laurie was born and raised on O`ahu, but now resides on Kaua`i with her husband, Vernon, and children Brittney and Christopher.

Services/hours

Services the Kaua`i Liaison office offers:
· Issue State Identification Cards (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – Noon, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.)
· Issue Marriage Licenses (Please call for appointment)
· Assist with public information
· Represent the Governor’s administration

Office hours:  Monday – Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed for lunch from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.)
