The IT Industry Government Council (ITIGC) was established in July of 2003 as an advisory group for the Center for IT Schedule Programs. The council is comprised of representatives from GSA, the IT industry, and customer agencies. The members were objectively selected by GSA to represent and address all business concerns.

The council meets quarterly and makes recommendations to GSA yearly. GSA then has the opportunity to follow through with or dismiss recommendations proposed. The council serves strictly in an advisory capacity. The council does not create policy or new programs.

Other stakeholders can participate in the council on the committee level. Currently, the council has five committees:

  • Cooperative purchasing
  • Economic Price Adjustment
  • E-Tools
  • Teaming and subcontracting
  • Training, education, and communication

Council members serve three year terms. At the end of the term new members will be solicited to fill vacant slots. If interested in participating on the committee level, please contact Stephanie Turner, (703) 605-2765. All meetings are open to the public. Meeting attendees not on the council must attend in a gallery capacity.

The date for the last ITIGC meeting was held on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., at 2200 Crystal Drive, Room L1301, Arlington, VA.
