RITTER NAMES PUBLIC TRUSTEES FOR 6 COUNTIES

Gov. Bill Ritter today announced the appointments of six new public trustees:

  • Carol A. Snyder of Thornton for Adams County;
  • Ana Maria Peters-Ruddick of Aurora for Arapahoe County;
  • Richard G. Gebhardt of Boulder for Boulder County;
  • Dianne E. Bailey of Parker for Douglas County;
  • Deborah Ann Morgan of Laporte for Larimer County;
  • Paul Brown of Whitewater for Mesa County.
"All six of these superb candidates have excellent records of public service, and their loyal work on behalf of the people of Colorado has prepared them for the significant task ahead," Ritter said.

Public trustees handle all public transactions for their counties, including foreclosures of deeds of trust, releases of deeds of trust, and tax escrow accounts for land purchase contracts for properties.

Public trustees serve a four-year term and their annual salary is $48,500. The appointment does not require Senate confirmation.
