GOV. RITTER TO TESTIFY BEFORE HOUSE SELECT COMMITTEE AND ACCEPT NATIONAL ENERGY AWARD

 

Gov. Bill Ritter will be in Washington, D.C., this week promoting the economic, environmental and national security benefits of Colorado's New Energy Economy and discussing his leadership around renewable energy issues.

 

Gov. Ritter will be testifying before the House Select Committee on Renewable Energy and Global Warming, participating in a "Greening of America" panel discussion, and accepting a national energy efficiency award on behalf of the Western Governors' Association. His schedule is as follows:

 

Thursday, Sept. 20

 

9 to 9:50 a.m.              Gov. Ritter will testify before the House Select Committee on Energy

                                    Independence and Global Warming. U.S. Rep. Mark Udall will

                                    introduce Gov. Ritter to the Committee. The hearing will be available

                                    via webcast at http://globalwarming.house.gov/
