GOV. RITTER, HUBER STATEMENTS ON ARREST OF STATE EMPLOYEE
Gov. Bill Ritter and Department of Revenue Executive Director Roxy Huber issued the following statements today regarding the arrest of an 11-year state employee and another individual:
Gov. Ritter: "This is a serious situation, and I have instructed everyone in state government to continue cooperating fully with the investigation. Department of Revenue employees acted swiftly as soon as they discovered an irregularity. Their actions will help law enforcement officials thoroughly resolve this matter."
Executive Director Huber: "When department employees first discovered procedural irregularities, we immediately contacted the appropriate authorities and launched an internal review. The employee was placed on administrative leave beginning Monday April 22. We are continuing to work with the Denver District Attorney's Office as the investigation proceeds."
