ASSESSMENT AND COLLECTION OF REGULATORY FEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001

CORRECTION IN CABLE SERVICE PUBLIC NOTICE AND AN UPDATED LISTING OF UHF AND VHF SATELLITE TELEVISION CALL SIGNS

Washington DC There is a typographical error in the Cable Television System Regulatory Fees public notice. For payment of cable regulatory fees, the number of subscribers should be determined as of December 31, 2000. Hence, the last sentence from page 6 and the first line on page 7 of the Cable Television public notice should read, "A system's total subscriber fee can be determined by multiplying $0.49 times the number of subscribers as of December 31, 2000."

Also, the UHF and VHF listing of Satellite Television call signs has been updated on the FCC website (www.fcc.gov/fees/regfees) to reflect a more comprehensive listing of satellite television call signs using the following sources: Broadcasting & Cable Yearbook 2001, Bowker Publication, and the Television & Cable Factbook 2001, No. 69 Vols. 1& 2, Warren Communications. By using two sources of information rather than one, additional satellite television call signs were discovered, which also necessitated the need to remove these satellite television call signs from the larger listing of UHF and VHF Television Station call signs, and from the listing of UHF and VHF Television Station call signs for Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the American Samoa.

For general information about payment of fees, please call (888) 225-5322 (TTY 1-888-835- 5322). For specific fee questions, please contact Terry Johnson (202) 418-0445 or Roland Helvajian at (202) 418-0444.
