Communications and Outreach Work Group Meeting Minutes
March 27, 2003

Public Members present:

Meeting started at 6:30p and ended at 7:30p

I. Review of minutes from the last meeting

• There were several clarifications of the minutes
• Under the grid insert… all agendas, meeting minutes and special meeting notices, will be sent via the email list serve, posted to the ORRHES web-site and sent regular mail… NOTE: upon clarification with Marilyn re: the list serve. COWG will need to make a recommendation that ORRHES recommend ATSDR set up a list serve to be used for Oak Ridge. Issues to consider in the creation of a list serve would be who will maintain it (additions, deletions, changes to email addresses)…who to include on the website, etc.
• 3rd sentence under the grid… ATSDR, in collaboration with ORRHES, will determine who is to receive a validation (pre-draft) copy of the PHA. James did discuss this at the PHAWG meeting and the above statement was the outcome

II. Progress on posting agendas etc. to the website

• Lorine will f/u with Lafreta re: clarity of the time line for when items can be posted on the web i.e. can agendas and meeting notices be placed on the website in a 2-3 day turn around time
• Do fact sheets, etc. have to go through the web committee before posting or can they be posted and what time frame are we looking at to post them

III. Progress on indexing of key issues for the website

• Lorine explained that ERG was going through the minutes for Jack to find info for the PHA and had been instructed to pull out some of the key issues as well.
• Lorine will f/u with Lafreta re: this item as well

IV. Due to the poor connection on the phone line i.e. lots of squealing and interruption of conversation… the meeting was discontinued. The next meeting date is …TBA
