The Kane Daily Band, best known for classic rock, rockabilly, and blues performances in the New York area has taken the stage at many venues, including the annual Riverhead Blues Festival and the annual Gathering of the Slides concerts at Brookhaven Lab. The band features Daily on lead guitar and vocals, George Ellert, an experienced, enthusiastic bass player, and the talented Al Henneborn on percussion.

Daily's musical journey started at a young age when he started strumming notes on a Silverton guitar given to him by his brother. In the 1980s he was a member of the rock group Star-Star and in the 1990s, he was a recording member of the band Rooster. Eventually, he returned to doing what he loved most -- delta-style blues, acoustic and slide guitar and formed his namesake band. He has written many songs, some of which can be heard on the CD, "Ain't No Millionaire." Daily's smokey vocals have also been featured on a number of recordings including an acoustic guitar sampler CD that was "produced by musicians to help musicians." Together with Ellert, Henneborn, and other local percussionists, the band agrees that every show is about "bringing music to the people."

Tickets for the show are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the show. Tickets may be purchased through www.ticketweb.com or at the door. Seating is limited, and advance ticket purchase is recommended. For more information call 631 344-5139.

The Laboratory is located on William Floyd Parkway (County Road 46), one-and-a-half miles north of Exit 68 of the Long Island Expressway.
