The meeting was called to order at 6:10 p.m.

Karen Galloway reviewed the draft minutes of the last (March 6, 2002) meeting because they were not available for review prior to the meeting. She wanted to highlight some points for the Work Group that are on the agenda for today’s meeting.

The Oak Ridge Reservation Health Effects Subcommittee (ORRHES) charged the Guidelines and Procedures Work Group (GPWG) with the task of rewriting Article IX in the ORRHES By-Laws on Work Groups. The two issues to be addressed concern the definition of a voting member of the Work Groups and the removal of a Work Group member for non-attendance at meetings. The GPWG discussed the issues at length but did not draft a proposal for .9 and .14.

The GPWG discussed the development of draft guidance document regarding minutes for WG meetings. Two issues raised were the level of detail needed to assure that the reader will understand what happened at the meeting and when the draft minutes should be completed.

Another topic of discussion was a guidance document to help the WG Chairs conduct efficient and effective meetings.

The roster of ORRHES members who belong to the WGs and the dates of all WG meetings was distributed to the WG. Any errors or changes should be submitted to Bill Murray.

The next GPWG meeting will be held at the Oak Ridge Field Office on Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at 6:00 PM.
