Bureau staff will travel to the various Bell Operating Company (BOC) regions to conduct these meetings, which will be attended by State commissioners, their staff, and, in some cases, representatives from the Department of Justice. As detailed in the schedule set forth below, at least one section 271 meeting will be conducted in each BOC region. State commissioners and commission staff from an entire BOC region are invited to attend the meeting or meetings held within that region. In addition to holding meetings with State commissions, the Bureau will conduct two additional, separate sessions, one with competitive carriers and other interested parties and another with the Bell Operating Companies. In most cases these meetings will be held on the same day as the State commission meeting.
