for Facilitators

The pupose of the Facilitators' Academy is to provide advanced training in engaged learning and best use of technology, to provide knowledge, materials, and strategies for implementing staff development, and to provide suggestions for building support and district buy-in for implementing your staff development plan.

DAY 1

On the first day of the academy the participants revisit engaged learning and best use of technology from a facilitator's point of view. Strategies for instructing and clarifying engaged learning will be discussed. Goals, objectives, and class expectations will be explained.

DAY 2

Class management and procedures will be shared. Participants will learn how to facilitate an effective online discussion. Planning and organizing your course, troubleshooting, and setting up your server will be discussed. Work time for creating your own course will be provided.

DAY 3

Class management and procedures for facilitating your own course will be discussed. Staff development plans and materials for your course will be created and shared.
