SUBJECT: Request for Proposal – Build Your Community Network
PROGRAMS: WIA
1. Purpose. To transmit request for proposals for events that promote and facilitate partnerships between workforce boards, the one-stop system new faith-based and community partners.

4. Substance. Funding is available to help your local or state workforce area reach out to your community through new, strategically designed networking events. The project is designed to support events that promote and facilitate partnerships between Workforce Boards, the One-Stop system, and new faith-based and community partners; for the purpose of preparing individuals for successful employment in local businesses and industries. Reimbursement up to $5,000 for a local event, and up to $10,000 for regional/state events. No more than $15,000 will be awarded per state. Additional information and instructions for submitting
proposals are available on-line.
5. Action. Program administrators are requested to share this Information Alert with appropriate staff and other agencies and are invited to submit proposals by April 30th for Phase 2, or by June 30th for Phase 3, as a word document, electronically by emailing Rachel E. Ramirez.
